One of the things most people don’t talk about is the cost of getting tested for coronavirus. It’s sometimes free, but people need to stand in line (or in their cars). I’ve heard reports of six hour waits to get a free test. Plus, the turn-around time for results was several days.
As protocols have been updated, the wait for lab results has improved to several hours rather than days.

Slow the Spread
Covid cases are increasing rapidly where I live. Masks are now mandatory in public spaces. And they are easy to find — not like back in the middle of March when people started to wear them.
I see more people complying. I’m heartened by the thought of more people wearing masks than before. I feel safer because I only see a handful of people not wearing masks.
And I stay six feet away from them.

Stay home. Cover your face. Wash your hands.
On Facebook, I see people in recent photos, standing next to each other, without masks. And I think about the fact that some people are only just starting to wear masks, four months after lockdowns started.
I believe there are many more Covid-positives walking around, without symptoms, than anyone can count.
I don’t want to be a guinea pig for the new vaccine. No one knows the long term impact of taking a new, experimental vaccine to prevent contracting Covid-19.
There’s still so much we don’t know.
And worrying about that makes my Doomsday Clock tick too fast.
Until we find out, please wear a mask.

The game I call Demon Spotting developed over time as I worked through emotional entanglements and confusing break-ups. My misery became code words. Code words became mat drills. Mat drills became winning combinations. And my confusion lifted. Consider this your invitation to play. Clarity is freedom.
