To slow the ticking of my Doomsday clock, I decided to create storage space by doing some clean-up on my computer. To create comics, I need loads of images. So, I’ve been collecting cartoon images of my facial expressions over the past three years.
My pictures folder has duplicates of the images stored in “Photos”.
Confusing! Anyway, I created sets of images — in the pictures folder — that can now be easily found and used to make new comics. I found some good stuff that I’d forgotten about.
Poetic License with hair styles
Since my hairstyle changed during the course of three years, I am taking poetic license and using whatever images I want, regardless of the length of my hair.
Last year (April 2019), I decided to cut my hair super-short. I wanted a new look. It was fun! Then, by the third hair cut, I changed my mind. So, now I’m growing it back out again.

With regard to the game I’ve created, DramaGuru Revelation, what I look like isn’t important. It’s better to focus on the facial expressions, which are universal.
Instead of distracting yourself with what a person looks like, please be brave. Discover your own face in the expression and explore your personal reactions.
As I’ve mentioned before, people drown their feelings in order to get along and not cause problems. But stuffing feelings causes disease and anxiety.
Especially when the feelings cause fear.
When I feel a migraine headache approaching, I know I’ve separated myself from the Source. It’s my way of punishing myself. Stupid, really. But super-effective at stopping me in my tracks.
Blame, shame, disapproval and abandonment. A not-so-delicious cocktail of emotions designed to take me out of the game.
Detached, disconnected and unavailable. Shunning support and comfort.

Dread and fright, brought on by shame, cause you to separate and abandon yourself. Stop! Now is the time to connect.

Getting to neutral, conferring with cornermen and connecting to the Source are primary actions to take when confronted with people who upset you.
Things fall into your blind spot when you ignore the opportunity to investigate your emotional reactions.
- blind spot: A cesspool of emotions and things, hidden and avoided. Easier to ignore, than explore.
I created DramaGuru as a game to play. Playing felt safe and allowed me to dig deep into my psyche to find the traps I’d fallen into.
DramaGuru Revelation is a game. Play it!
The following is an explanation of why games are valuable learning tools. Playing, is a fun, safe and creative way to explore situations and gain confidence through winning and losing. I found this image during my computer clean-up, but couldn’t find the exact reference online.
“According to the Institute of Play: Games (1) create a complex world, which players come to understand through self-directed exploration. (2) Deliver just-in-time learning and data to help players understand how they are doing, what they need to work on and where they need to go next. (3) Create a compelling need to know, a need to ask, examine, assimilate and master certain skills and content areas. (4) are learning systems, which account for the sense of engagement and entertainment players experience.”

Next Steps
Well, that was a busy first month of creating comics and posts for my new blog, Who’s Clocking You?
Time to create more comics!
Because they liked Courtney Marmo’s comic, Trevor, Daniyel, Amber and Madison agreed to be the next characters in the Doomsday Clock Chronicles, my Covid-19 online diary.
Air travel, Disney and Animal Crossing are at the top of their minds.
Plus, it’s time for Agent September to show up and join the game.

The game I call Demon Spotting developed over time as I worked through emotional entanglements and confusing break-ups. My misery became code words. Code words became mat drills. Mat drills became winning combinations. And my confusion lifted. Consider this your invitation to play. Clarity is freedom.
