“They eat kids.” What QAnon people say to make you join them.

Conspiracy theorists love creating story lines that sound like plots from spy movies. Secrets. Powerful people. Follow the money. Choose a hero to rescue the good guys. Laugh at everyone else who doesn’t get it. And recruit new people to join your crusade.

I’ve often wondered how people ended up in cults, seduced by some charismatic leader who promises “special status” for his or her followers.
