DramaGuru is based on the various styles of mixed martial arts (MMA). One of the objectives of sparring is to practice creating an opportunity for your opponent to step into a trap. The opponent then has the opportunity to practice escaping from the traps you set.

Staying calm. Level breathing. Once I find neutral, safe space, I can work through the various positions, attacks, and escapes. How do I free myself? Which combination will work best today?

• Ostrich: Bury your head in the sand. Ignore the problem.
• Peacock: Center of attention, whether it’s negative or positive.
• Porcupine: Plays the victim role. Vulnerable underbelly, but prickly on the outside.
• Rabbit: Unavailable. Runs at the first sign of trouble.
• Skunk: Bully. Respect the skunk or risk getting slimed.
• Vulture: Watch your back! Takes advantage of you. Eats the flesh right off your bones.
